Armor Rework
Standalone
Multiplayer Compatible
Affects other mods?
Incompatible with
Yes Yes Will attempt to convert armors added by other mods. Full Plate and Packing Steel, Refinements, Item Revisions The Armor Rework included with this mod aims to make armor work a bit more realistically and add an element of tactics to the choice of how to protect yourself rather than just going for the armor with the best AC. It allows the casting of spells and the use of thieveing skills in armor but applies penalties to their success based on the weight of the armor. It also alters movement speed based on weight. It then adds in damage reduction relative to the amount fo protection the armor would likely provide, so the damage reduction of full plate is going to be much higher than that of studded leather. Finally to account for the fact that it is much easier to move and dodge in lighter armour, all armors have a dodge AC adjustment rating added, which can be positive or negative. Some of the heaviest armors even impose a penalty to the character dexterity.

Equal to armor weight 20% +4 Bonus 0 Hide

Equal to armor weight 40% -2 Penalty -2 Full Plate Mail
Equal to armor weight 50% -3 Penalty -3 The movement rate and thieving skill modifiers are based on the weight and then modified by various factors to produce a percentage reduction. Needless to say the lighter the armor the less penalties will be applied. Some extremely powerful or rare armors may have improved damage reduction depending on how well enchanted they are. All armors will have their descriptions appended to include all of the relevant information to help you choose whether to use it or not. all pre-existing armor enchantments will still hold (e.g. the + to hide in shadows from the Shadow Armor).

Usability System
Standalone
Multiplayer Compatible
Affects other mods?
Incompatible with
No, core part of the kitpack Yes Only if they specifically take advantage of it, otherwise old usability system remains functional No known incompatibilities This rework of the usability system allows unlimited unique usability combinations for kits and trueclasses. Modders wishing to make their kits compatible with this system can use the template.2da file in the UKP folder rather than the standard CLAB file to create a compatible kit. The asterisk before certain spells is used to prevent them being applied. The original usability system remains present and active, and works as it always has done in the past, new kits can be added with no new usability restrictions and they will still work flawlessly with the old system.

Affects other mods?
Incompatible with
Yes Yes No No known incompatibilities This component adds several new unique items to the game, including a new category of weapon, the Greataxe: The Greataxe consists of a haft several feet long topped with a heavy blade, and is in many respects similar to a halberd. The axe may be double-bitted, with blades on both sides of the haft, or it may only have a single blade. It is an unwieldy weapon, but a skilled warrior can strike blows of tremendous strength with it. STATISTICS: Damage: 1d12 (slashing) Speed Factor: 8 Proficiency Type: Axe Type: Two-Handed Requires: 10 Strength Weight: 15 All of the new items are automatically added to various monsters, stores, NPC's and map loot at install.

Add Kits to non-party NPC's
Standalone
Multiplayer Compatible
Affects other mods?
Incompatible with
No, must be installed with relevant kits Yes Replaces .cre files, so yes Fundamentally incompatible with other mods which alter the same .cre files, or which overwrite enemy scripts. This component adds some of the kits made available in the kitpack to some relevant enemies in the game. These enemies are also given new scripts to make full use of their new spells. Hopefully these enemies should be a bit more challenging. Where specific mention has been made to a persons god in their dialog, they have been changed to that god, provided there is a kit for it. Some artistic license has been taken where this is unclear, but overall it's a light touch.
